I'm Anthony!

Long before I ever photographed concerts, I was the kid who commandeering the family camera. I was always taking pictures, making videos, drawing, or building things. Creativity has always been a part of who I am. Looking back, I was never searching for one specific medium. I just enjoyed creating things and seeing where my creativity would take me.

Concert photography entered my life in 2010 through friends at Pearl Drums, who introduced me to musicians I’d admired for years. Suddenly, I found myself photographing artists I had spent my teenage years listening to. I started shooting larger venues early on, including theaters, arenas, and festivals. It was an incredible introduction to the pace and unpredictability of live music.

Over the years, I’ve photographed more than 200 concerts, from intimate theater performances to major festivals. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph artists including John Mayer, Dave Matthews Band, Noah Kahan, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many more. I’ve also worked directly with bands such as Dispatch, Ripe, Umphrey’s McGee, and Slightly Stoopid.

One of the highlights of my career was seeing one my photographs featured as the back cover of a Dispatch album. Experiences like that remind me of how lucky I am to do what I do.

Photography isn’t the only way I tell stories. I also write about live music, contributing concert photography and reviews to The Waster and Melodia Magazine. Writing gives me another way to document the show and share what made it memorable beyond just the images.

At my core, I’m still just a fan. I shoot because I love being there. There’s nothing quite like being in the photo pit, waiting for the lights to go down, and watching a room come alive when the music starts.
